At Cyrene Lodge #325, we believe that the strength of a lodge is measured not only by its members, but by the positive impact it has on the community around it.
Clarion, Iowa is more than where we meet—it is home. It is where we raise our families, support local businesses, attend community events, and work alongside our neighbors. Because of that, service is not just something we do—it is part of who we are.
Freemasonry has always emphasized charity and service. The phrase “relief” has long been one of the guiding principles of Masonry, reminding us that helping others is not optional—it is part of our obligation as good men and good citizens.
That service can take many forms.
Sometimes it means supporting local charitable causes that directly help families in need. Sometimes it means volunteering time, offering resources, or standing behind community efforts that strengthen Clarion and the surrounding area.
It may be helping veterans, supporting local schools, contributing to food drives, assisting with community events, or simply showing up when help is needed.

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and most recognized fraternal organizations, yet it is also one of the most misunderstood. Many people have heard of the Masons, seen the square and compasses symbol, or noticed a local Masonic lodge in their community, but few truly understand what Freemasonry is all about.
At its core, Freemasonry is about becoming a better man.
It is built on timeless values such as integrity, honesty, charity, personal responsibility, respect for others, and service to the community. Freemasonry encourages men to strengthen their character, support their families, help their neighbors, and contribute positively to society.
Cyrene Lodge #325 in Clarion, Iowa, exists to continue that mission locally. For generations, Masons have worked quietly behind the scenes to support their communities through charitable efforts, fellowship, leadership, and personal growth.
Freemasonry is not a religion, but it does encourage men to live according to strong moral principles and to believe in something greater than themselves.
